Alison Berrisford is a highly experienced personal trainer specialising in the training and coaching of elite athletes. Counting racing drivers and football players among her client roster Alison felt her branding no longer represented her business now.
The challenge Alison had was that she needed her brand to build trust with the elite athletes she wanted to target while at the same time appealing to her clientele of regular fitness enthusiasts and gym goers.
Going to great lengths to understand Alison's goals as well as Alison's clients both now and into the future, we set to work.
Our solution
We worked with Alison very closely at every phase of the project. Through our collaborative workflow we got to know Alison's business, training methods and future ambitions in great detail.
We also went to her client base to gain their feedback about Alison's old branding. We wanted to know from them what they resonated with, what they didn't and what their concerns might be about a rebrand.
We collected a wealth of knowledge during the research and discovery phase which paid dividends as we took that into the design phase.
We helped Alison articulate her vision, mission and tone of voice into a cohesive visual language. It was important; we came to understand, that the rebrand retained enough of its original essence while reframing it in a professional, forward-thinking message that captured her science-based, yet friendly approach to the training she provides.
We brought a range of design thinking to the solution, not least tying her existing colours to a strategy. We connected Alison to red, the colour of energy and vitality while connecting her clients to purple, the colour of ambition and affluence.
Then we set about creating Alison's brand collateral which included a comprehensive brand guidelines document and a bespoke, CMS driven website built in Webflow.
Our Impact
Before we rebranded Alison, her personal training business was doing okay, Alison had a couple of athletes on her books along with a roster of regular fitness enthusiasts.
In less than a year since the new branding was launched, Alison boasts half a dozen athletes including a new rising star on the junior racing circuit.
We can't claim all the credit, Alison didn't need a lot of help being so good at what she does. We just gave her branding a professional edge over her competitors.
I'm so pleased with my new branding and website. Since it was launched my client & elite client roster has grown. I always get such nice comments about my branding too.
